This is our 1.2 HP nippondenso starter that has been expertly machined and modified to work in the Triumph TR3A through TR4A(from TS50001- TR4A), Jaguar 3.8 XKE and other 3.8L Jaguars. The mounting plate may be easily rotated for best fit in each vehicle application. This is a great starter at a fantastic price. Electrical Hook-up:
This starter has one large bolted terminal for the positive battery cable from your vehicle. There is also a second small solenoid terminal (1/4" male spade connector) which connects to the wire from your vehicle's ignition switch. You have the option to bypass this starter's solenoid for simplicity and to retain the use of your car's original external solenoid. Click here for details.
